The place was technically liveable, but full of problems. When we first moved in, there was a horrible smell coming from the main bedroom. It turned out to be a ceiling crack caused by rats, and while pest control helped a bit, it never fully went away.
About a year in, that same ceiling gave way during a thunderstorm. Water poured through like a waterfall and wrecked a bunch of our stuff. The roof had clearly been leaking for ages they just patched it up with silicone. Same story with the bathroom ceiling after tiles started leaking.
There was also a leaking toilet and clear structural problems in the living and dining rooms. Maintenance was basically non-existent. Roof leaks were a constant worry, and honestly, I’d expect the same issues to keep popping up for anyone else who moves in.
