The property was advertised as fully renovated, but the inspection raised serious concerns. The bathroom had two floating taps and a mystery pipe beside a power socket, with the floor underneath the pipe completely wet. There was peeling paint from moisture behind the door and beside the vanity.
There were also soft lumps in the bedroom wall between the bathroom and bedroom. When pressed, the wall dented, suggesting more than a simple paint issue. The agent said it was just a bad paint job and suggested it could be scraped back and repainted if I became a tenant. For $400 per week, the condition did not match the advertised standard and appeared to involve moisture or water damage concerns.
