From the outside this building looks modern, but inside it was a nightmare. Our apartment sat at around 90% humidity year-round, leading to extensive black mould that spread across walls, wardrobes, shoes, clothes and furniture. Despite repeated reports, the landlord and agency only suggested dehumidifiers and surface cleaning — useless against the underlying structural issue. After more than three months of being ignored, we left before anything was resolved. Neighboiurs talked about it too, suggesting it’s a systemic problem. Security was also appalling: two of our bikes were stolen from the basement, along with many others, due to faulty garage doors and non-functioning cameras. Complaints to the body corporate were dismissed in a sexist and insulting way. On top of that, frequent fire alarm evacuations happened at 2am multiple times a year. While the burger shop downstairs was a small plus, this property was stressful, unhealthy, and a complete waste of money.
