The listing photos made the apartment appear bright and well presented, but the actual condition was much worse. There was obvious water damage throughout the property, cracked plaster, holes in the carpet and a bedroom sliding door that would not open properly.
The shower was literally held together with duct tape, the balcony appeared poorly maintained and potentially unsafe, and one of the electrical power outlets had been installed upside down. Considering the asking rent of $410 per week, the property did not represent good value and appeared to have significant unresolved maintenance issues.
