The shower leaks through the wall into the bedroom wardrobe which means the carpet in there is constantly damp. That led to mould and a musty smell that never really went away. I had to scrub mould off the bedroom ceiling regularly just to keep it under control. Without a dehumidifier running overnight the walls and windows would be wet by morning, sometimes even dripping. There were huge settlement cracks throughout the house and the paintwork was awful, chipped, stained, and never looked properly finished. It felt like no one had looked after the place in years.
