The property presents well at first glance thanks to a light renovation done by the owner’s father, but the issues soon become clear. The main bathroom shower leaked continuously throughout the entire three-year tenancy, leaving a constant stream of water across the floor. Black mould began appearing beneath the paint, likely due to poor sealing. Despite paying rent on time, we had to offer extra rent just to have fly screens installed — without them, and with no ceiling fans or air conditioning, the property was uncomfortably hot and filled with mosquitoes in summer. A disappointing experience overall.
