It's a roof over your head with minimal insulation and mould aplenty hidden by landlord specials. Cabinet in the main bathroom was riddled with mould and painted over, mould on the roof in the master bedroom, and a very poorly sealed shower in the rear bathroom that stinks of wet, rotting wood. The shed is made of asbestos that has cracks and holes in it. Had to get the front door fixed three times due to it not being in good repair (massive gap preventing it from latching and never fixed properly). The handyman kept complaining every time he came around that the landlord refused to pay to actually fix anything and he just had to keep doing landlord specials. Front door latch had to be repaired so many times there was literally no more solid wood to drill into. The landlord is also the cheapest person I have ever met. It took him a year and a notice of breach to install a blind in the rear bathroom, then he attempted to illegally evict us without valid reason less than 90 days before the end of our lease. Went to VCAT and the order was in our favour. It took six months for him to acknowledge that the heating didn’t meet minimum standards, and he refused to have the ducted heating repaired. Rent was 00 from December 2021 to March 2023; an absolute joke that no improvements have been made and it’s since been advertised for 50 per week.
