The property is a subdivided Queenslander with around ten units and extremely thin walls. Noise is a major issue, with neighbours playing TV at all hours and yelling, and one neighbour even slammed walls and shouted while I was cooking. There is no insulation between units and it does not appear to meet basic fire safety standards. The owner is quick to fix plumbing and electrical issues, which is the only positive, but the bedroom carpet is over 20 years old and laid over an unsealed former veranda. Privacy is poor and the living conditions are stressful. After I left, the rent was increased by 5 per week.
