The property had plenty of space, but serious maintenance and access issues began immediately. On move in day, painting work was still underway and blocked the main front entry for around a week. After that, people arrived to check water and other items without proper entry notice. A major sewerage issue appeared downstairs, with raw sewerage leaking through drains in the outdoor area, garage and downstairs toilet. Some possessions had to be discarded after coming into contact with it. It took around two weeks for anyone to attend, and the clean up required further follow up. The issue was linked to tree roots damaging the pipes and continued to reoccur. Repairs left fencing dismantled and mulch in the front yard, which remained unresolved for months. The oven took months to be assessed and replaced, and the dishwasher later tripped the power and could no longer be used. Smoke alarm issues were also identified early, including one alarm painted over and another bedroom without an alarm, but they still had not been fixed nearly a year later. Overall the property had space, but recurring sewerage problems, poor communication, unfinished repairs and safety concerns made it a poor rental experience.
