This place was mould infested and everything was patched up cheap and badly with a handyman not proper trades. The kitchen cabinets were rotting and rusted and falling apart. The pipes screamed when used. The upstairs bathroom was built out of baseboard and wasn’t sealed which led to the floor rotting through to the foundation and the timber supports getting soaked. After six weeks of different tradies coming to quote things I got a tiny rent reduction and then two days later they locked me out of the bathroom on a Friday and evicted me the next Monday with no grounds. The front wooden gate was also rotting and swollen from the rain so bad the lock wouldn’t work. I was stuck out in the middle of La Niña storms twisting the key so hard it made my hands bleed. I sent the real estate photos of my bloody hands and they asked if I was turning the key correctly. Tradies were sent around constantly without proper notice and the real estate would show up with no warning too. The windows were all dodgy and slammed shut suddenly. I nearly lost fingers more than once and my cats could’ve been decapitated. When we told them they said don’t use the windows. I’ve got every photo and email I ever sent them over three years to prove all of this.
