I rented this apartment in 2020 without knowing it had a serious mould problem. It became clear that the previous tenants had likely left because of it, and the owners had simply painted over the damage. Within a few months I reported moisture and ventilation issues to the property manager, as both bathroom exhaust fans were not working. I was told it was too expensive to repair and advised to leave doors and windows open instead. Over time, mould spread throughout the property, making me unwell. After more than a year of requests for proper repairs, I was eventually told to vacate for ‘renovations’. The only work done was installing new fans before it was re-rented. This experience showed clear neglect from both the landlord and the agency.
