Do not rent this house unless it has been fully repaired. Major problems include white and black mould under the house, cracked pillars holding up the roof, rotten weatherboards with holes causing draughts, and severe mould throughout the master bedroom, ensuite and upstairs carpets. Windows don’t lock, kitchen has a large hole behind the oven creating a fire hazard, and the dishwasher is loose with gaps like a wind tunnel. The lounge floods from the roof and windows, laundry floor has a tree root growing through it, and plumbing is cross-connected so laundry soap comes out of the kitchen tap. The dining-room fireplace is an open hole where dead birds have been found. Power trips 10–30 times a day — the electrician said the house only has two circuits and needs a third. Heating and cooling are inadequate, fences have multiple holes, and the landlord only ever did band-aid repairs. Avoid renting this property unless major works have been completed.
