The roof leaks and has caused a chronic mould problem in the property. The landlord has refused to properly fix the issue despite long term tenants experiencing serious health impacts. Previous tenants took the landlord to the tenancy tribunal and were successful, yet the underlying problem was not resolved.
More recent tenants were supplied with dehumidifiers but expected to pay the electricity costs themselves and were asked to pay increased rent despite the ongoing mould. The landlord is reportedly a builder but has not addressed the structural issue. Prospective tenants should be aware of the persistent roof leaks and associated health concerns.
