Tenant Review

From Anonymous
October 29, 2025
Lived here for about a year. Five rooms with a shared kitchen and laundry. The common room was filthy and had to be cleaned every time someone else used it, with mouldy washing machines and an unemptied shared freezer. Clotheslines were falling apart, and the backyard was left uneven for months after being filled with dirt, making it unusable. Maintenance requests from move-in day, such as a broken sink plug and bathroom door off hinge, were ignored. We fixed the sink ourselves and only received a response about the door as we were moving out, being told it wasn’t a priority. We were approved for a room next door at 57 Wongara Street, then lost it within the hour because someone paid first, and were told by the agent that if we skipped a coffee now and then, we’d afford the extra 0 a fortnight for the pricier one. Only one key was provided for two people, and one of us was listed merely as an ‘approved occupant’. Later we discovered the council only approved five occupants due to flood and fire regulations. Property managers were polite one-on-one but robotic in bulk emails. The rent has since increased by 0 a week and everyone has moved out. Overall, pretty disappointing experience.
