We rented this property from mid 2011 until September 2014. Within months we began noticing mould in multiple areas of the house and it became clear it had been painted over prior to our tenancy. Despite repeated complaints, the issue was not properly resolved.
An external mould company assessed the property and indicated significant remediation would be required, potentially stripping the house back to its frame. This was never undertaken. Mould was present behind furniture and throughout living areas. After we moved out, the property was repainted and rented again.
Overall, the mould issue was serious and never properly addressed. Prospective tenants should be cautious.
