Lived here for several years and the landlord was extremely tight, constantly raising rent while refusing to maintain the property. Had to go to VCAT multiple times just to get basic issues fixed. The house wasn’t insulated, freezing in winter and boiling in summer. Despite years of on-time payments, when I finally refused another rent increase, the landlord tried to claim my bond on false grounds. I had photographic proof of the clean condition and PCRE released the bond, which was about the only thing they did right. Overall, a miserable experience with a neglectful and greedy landlord.
