I lived in apartment 8 for nine years and was evicted in March 2023. During my tenancy the landlord spent months renovating another unit and was present almost every weekend. They constantly complained about my balcony plants, calling them an insurance hazard, and one day removed them and took them to the tip. There was no privacy. Before renovations I lived with bedroom and bathroom windows that didn’t close, peeling paint, and a non-functioning oven. The landlord owns all eight units and has family members living on-site, resulting in constant monitoring and complaints. Living there became unbearable.
