The landlords have not completed a single maintenance job in over seven years while raising the rent by an outrageous 93% in one hit. They arrived unannounced six times in two weeks and were so abusive that a restraining order had to be obtained. Despite this, VCAT has done nothing to enforce it. The landlord offered the house to another tenant without any notice and issued three different false notices to vacate. Friends of the landlord regularly sit outside the property to intimidate the resident. Electrical, gas, and smoke-detector safety checks have never been carried out. An extremely unsafe and distressing rental experience — avoid at all costs.
