This place has just been listed for sale and marketed towards investors again, but it is absolutely unfit for habitation. Issues included a burst pipe in the bathroom wall, a dodgy support beam under the bedroom installed by a fencing handyman, weeds growing up through the floor, asbestos cladding ripped off at the back, and mould across every ceiling. The house had no insulation, a tin roof, no air conditioning, and was overrun with bugs in summer due to gaps in the cladding and roof. Lead paint was peeling everywhere, parts of the roof were falling off, and the garden was impossible to maintain. My cat even disappeared into an open hole in the fireplace wall. The landlord refused to spend anything as he planned to bulldoze for townhouses, so the property stayed a health hazard. Friends called it ‘the murder shack’ – a weatherboard wreck being advertised for up to 00 a week rent. Do not rent here unless you want to live in a petri dish of mould.
