This property is not legally permitted by the council and has been illegally divided into five apartments within an old terrace without approval. I lived in one of them, and the landlord refused to carry out even basic repairs. The property was in poor condition and completely non-compliant with standards. When I requested repairs, he would threaten to terminate the lease or accuse me of breaching the agreement. I had to take him to the tribunal to recover plumbing costs that were his legal responsibility. The tribunal ordered him to complete repairs, but he ignored both the orders and repeated requests. He owns several similar properties and has a reputation for neglecting maintenance and intimidating tenants through the tribunal system. Easily the worst landlord I’ve encountered.
