The property suffered from ongoing roof leaks across both levels, resulting in obvious water damage and black mould in the ceilings and carpets. Despite this, the real estate attempted to blame the tenant for the leaks. Electrical wiring was faulty and frequently caused power outages. Other issues included a non-functioning spa bath, faulty window latches, uneven floors, showers that flooded when used, and a toilet that constantly ran, resulting in very high water bills.
Communication with the property manager was also frustrating, with emails acknowledged but responses given by phone rather than in writing. The tenant was regularly compared to previous occupants despite the property's many unresolved maintenance issues. Overall, the property was poorly maintained and offered poor value for the rent charged.
