The property suffered from repeated flooding and severe mould. Pipes burst and the landlord ignored over 60 calls for urgent repairs. We replaced carpet due to mould at our own expense. The landlord later tried to withhold the entire bond, blaming us for foundation and wall damage caused by the flooding. When challenged at VCAT, he immediately returned the full bond. Extremely negligent and dishonest management.
