The property had dozens of issues not recorded in the initial condition report, including serious breaches of basic living standards like lighting and privacy. Some issues were eventually fixed, but others were ignored despite repeated requests for help. The top floor flooded due to a blocked downpipe caused by tree roots, which they ‘fixed’ by unclogging it straight into the backyard — leaving the area reeking for weeks. They refused to clean it up. Southlands Estate Agent showed little accountability or concern for tenant wellbeing.
