I was escaping an abusive relationship, so I wasn’t in the best position to say no to a property. Any place I could find would have done, and unfortunately this one was a terrible choice. The person I dealt with — landlord, agent, or whoever they were — took a bond that I strongly doubt was ever lodged with the RTBA. The house had cameras in the kitchen and was filled with clutter and mismatched furniture that made it difficult to move around. I managed to find somewhere else after just a week, but of course the so-called landlord refused to return my bond, claiming ‘advertising costs’. Avoid this place entirely.
