Roof leaked constantly into the kitchen, bathroom and even through the back door whenever it rained. At one point we could actually hear water flowing down through a sealed-up fireplace which obviously shouldn’t be happening. It was like the house was trying to drain through itself. We reported it and they sent someone out once to clear the gutters, said it should be fine now. But it wasn’t. The leaks came back the next time it rained and kept getting worse. We followed up several times after that, but the agency stopped responding. No one ever came back to properly fix the issue and we just had to live with it.
Every heavy downpour meant another round of stress, buckets, towels and hoping the water wouldn’t do more damage.
