The landlord frequently attended the property without notice from them or Ray White Lismore. The property manager seemed inexperienced and communication was poor. During an inspection the landlord installed a security system without telling me and never provided an alarm code; it triggered at about 9:30pm and the siren made the neighbourhood think I was breaking into my own home. On another visit the landlord repaired a soap holder in the shower and left an A4 sign taped up saying ‘do not use for 2 days’ with no notice, so I came home from work and couldn’t properly shower. We also received a termination notice at the same time as a 00/week rent increase after the Lismore floods, which felt like price gouging to see if we’d pay to stay. After I moved out, the advertised rent was lowered from the amount they tried to charge me.
