The house was unsafe and poorly maintained. It was not secured or properly waterproofed and developed mould in the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom from rising damp. Doors would not lock or shut due to movement in the house. There was exposed asbestos, unsafe DIY sealing and painted shower tiles over poor waterproofing, and water leaks that worsened over time. During heavy rain the hallway would flood. A faulty power point caused an electric shock and the agent was already aware of the issue. Floors were wavy and sinking, and one bedroom ceiling was close to collapsing, with the agent dismissing it rather than repairing it. After months of complaints about black mould and inaction, the agent effectively told us to accept it or break the lease and pay fees. When we sought legal advice and cited breaches, we received a termination notice soon after. Avoid this property and avoid dealing with Professionals Bathurst.
