Full of mould, rust and water damage. Garage doors didn’t work properly and broke by the time we left, and we were blamed. The mould had been painted over and water damage was bubbling through. The property had only one viable fire escape, as both the front and back doors opened into the same stairwell. Ants lived between the unsealed floors. The real estate only offered six-month leases, raising the rent each time by about 0, and finally refused renewal. They conducted an illegal inspection without notice while we were asleep, with only my 11-year-old son awake. Owners once asked if I’d installed new floors — I’d only cleaned them. On exit they took bond, claiming it wasn’t up to ‘bond clean’ despite photos proving otherwise. Hardly any maintenance was ever done. Communication was terrible; I never spoke to my property manager once, only front-office staff. Over 18 months, multiple valuators came every few months as the property was bought, neglected, and sold again before the major repairs — waterproofing, mould treatment and electrical hazards — were addressed. I left it cleaner than entry, yet they withheld bond for untouched air-con filters and unsafe high-ceiling fans. Avoid.
