This was a large property that seemed appealing at first, but living there was extremely uncomfortable. The house had no insulation, making it unbearably hot in summer and freezing in winter. The ducted heating had to run constantly just to keep the place liveable, resulting in huge energy bills, while the windows offered little ventilation and couldn’t accommodate a portable air conditioner. On hot evenings it was often warmer inside than outside, and sleep was nearly impossible. To make matters worse, the landlord once arrived without notice on a Sunday morning to plant a tree in the garden — an intrusive and unprofessional move. Overall, overpriced and difficult to live in despite the size.
