The house looked beautiful inside and out, but living there revealed serious flaws. It was the coldest property I’ve experienced, likely with little insulation and extremely high ceilings that made heating ineffective. The central heating was already broken when we moved in. A plumber confirmed it was beyond repair, yet the landlord refused to replace it and eventually evicted us after months of pushing for action. The landlord insisted on inspecting or trying DIY repairs himself, which never lasted, and he only used friends for bigger jobs, leaving us waiting weeks for fixes. Although the property seemed like a bargain in a nice neighbourhood, the reality was endless problems and a landlord unwilling to take responsibility. We left after ten months, just like tenants before us – the pattern says it all.
