As soon as we signed the lease with the agent, we were handed off to the landlord and basically left to deal with everything ourselves. He ignored maintenance messages for months, sometimes years, and when he did reply, it was mostly to talk about his personal life instead of fixing anything.
Both bathrooms had serious mould issues that were never properly addressed. There was no insulation in the ceiling, and a roof leak was patched with a temporary fix that just led to mould building up above us.
The pool hasn’t worked in over two years. The back deck is rotten and unsafe. The front fence actually fell down during our lease and wasn’t fixed until we moved out, which was nine months later.
On top of all that, there are clear foundational and structural problems throughout the property.
