The rent was increased every six months. The property was infested with mould, which ruined many of our belongings. The electrical box contained asbestos and was located in the neighbouring property as the house is a duplex. The security door was broken and very difficult to get repaired, and the agent was rude and dismissive. When the bathroom fan broke we didn’t bother reporting it due to past experiences, which only made the mould worse. It was also extremely difficult to update contact details with the agent despite repeated requests. The only thing they were quick to do was renew leases, often trying to sneak in unfavourable changes such as pushing a 12-month term.
