This townhouse was small and poorly maintained. One bedroom was barely large enough to fit a bed, the flyscreen door couldn’t lock, the washing line was broken and the water pressure was very low. The fan in the small room shook badly, and the upstairs windows were bolted shut which made the place stuffy with no air conditioning to balance it. Parking was a constant issue, with only one garage and limited visitor spots, forcing residents to park outside the complex on the main road. The landlord lived in the complex and closely watched what tenants did. I stayed temporarily with friends while between homes and was told we could stay for eight weeks, but we were suddenly ordered to leave after four, leaving us with two weeks to find housing. It was a stressful and disappointing experience for a place charging five hundred dollars a week.
