This place looked quite impressive from the outside all white and perched on a slope, almost like something you'd see in Tuscany. But once we moved in, it was a totally different story.
It got ridiculously hot in summer and freezing in winter, and mould was a constant issue. Someone had added a dodgy extension at the back without proper construction, no retaining wall at all so after heavy rain, water came straight through the wall and onto the floor. The carpet was made up of mismatched little pieces cut to shape, like a jigsaw puzzle. Once they got wet and had to be lifted, there was no way to put them back. We ended up stuck with bare concrete in that room.
The real estate didn't take it seriously. Even after reporting the water damage, they sent out a painter instead of actually fixing the structure. No real repairs were done.
Neither bathroom had a window, so they were always damp and smelled musty. We had to throw out a whole bed frame and a few other things due to mould.
There was also this weird locked area under the house, some kind of old man cave which we were never given access to. It felt unsettling.
They keep renting this place out to uni students, probably because of the location. But honestly, it’s not worth it. The rent kept creeping up, even though the place was falling apart.
