The agency did what they could throughout the tenancy, however the landlord refused to properly maintain the property. The house had extensive mould throughout, including the roof space, faulty electrical wiring, a leaking roof and an unusable septic swimming pool.
Rather than repairing the property, the landlord chose to end the tenancy and sell the house. The mould was so extensive that it was reportedly visible even in the bathroom photos used in the property's online listing. At $750 per week, the property represented poor value given its serious maintenance and safety issues.
