While living there the house was infested with cockroaches. The backsplash fell off the wall and was never fixed. There were roots growing through the pipes under the house and more than once while I was showering downstairs, the bathroom would suddenly gurgle and raw sewage would come up through the shower drain and floor grate. It would hit the floor and sometimes even spray onto me while showering. Both the real estate and owner knew about it. When I left, they claimed my full bond saying they'd done a UV scan and found animal faeces on the floor, then claimed they had to fully regrout and retile the place because of “human waste”. I found out from a neighbour later that not even a week after the new tenants moved in they had the sewer truck out again to clear the same roots — which they apparently do every six months when the issue comes back.
