I still remember this house because of how bad the maintenance was. The place was infested with cockroaches and the backsplash in the kitchen fell off the wall and was never fixed. The worst part was the plumbing. Roots had grown through the pipes under the house, and several times while I was showering in the downstairs bathroom, raw sewage suddenly gurgled up through the drain and onto the floor. Both the agent and the owner knew about it but did nothing to fix it. After moving out they claimed my full bond, saying they found animal waste under a UV light and that they had to re-tile the whole bathroom because of human waste. Not long after, the neighbour said the new tenants had the sewer truck out again a week after moving in. Clearly the problem has been ongoing for years and never properly repaired.
