Maintenance was only ever handled by an elderly handyman. One time we lost all power on a Sunday due to an electrical fault, so I called the agency electrician and paid roughly ,000 out of pocket to get it fixed. The owner then refused to reimburse me despite the agency advising they were obliged to. I had to take the owner to VCAT and they only paid the day before the hearing. The hot water system is a tiny unit under the sink — unless you barely crack the taps, you get about a four-minute hot shower max from a full tank. If your morning lines up with someone else in the house, one of you is having a cold shower.
