Living in this rental property was like a nightmare. When I moved in, the apartment was filthy — mould in cupboards, dust everywhere, and a broken oven that made food taste rancid. Despite being promised roof repairs before moving in, leaks began almost immediately and continued for a year until the ceiling started to collapse. There was even a colony of bees living in the roof that the owner refused to remove because they ‘wanted the honey’. Repeated requests for repairs went ignored. The real estate agent entered without notice, made inappropriate comments, and behaved in discriminatory and unprofessional ways. The owner showed blatant disregard for tenant rights and decency. Avoid this property and agency at all costs.
