During winter we discovered the property had no working heating despite it being advertised as functional. Windows and doors were not sealed, making the house freezing during Canberra winters. Homefinders refused to address the heating or insulation issues. There was black mould present from the start of the lease which was painted over rather than properly removed. The mould returned and caused health issues, supported by doctor certificates, yet the agency denied the mould existed and blamed tenants. Both the agency and landlord refused to fix the issues.
