We rented this house for two years and it was one of the most uncomfortable properties we have lived in. It was freezing in winter and unbearably hot in summer due to a complete lack of insulation. When we asked about insulating the roof, the landlord told us to pay for it ourselves. The boiler constantly broke down, and an Energy Australia technician later confirmed the wiring was burnt and unsafe. A tree fell on the roof and damaged the laundry ceiling, yet we were told to deal with it ourselves and even remove the tree. Repairs were often done by unqualified relatives. The agent was unhelpful, imposed unreasonable lease conditions, and demanded we repaint rooms and use their own cleaner to recover our bond. The property and management were both extremely poor, and I would strongly advise avoiding it.
