This apartment had a severe German cockroach infestation at one point we were killing around ten every day. Being right next to the bin room on level 10 certainly didn’t help, but the scale suggested it spread through the whole building. We paid for fumigation ourselves several times, with no lasting effect, and the landlord refused to contribute while the agency brushed it off. Other residents reported the same.
On the positive side, the unit itself was spacious for a one-bedroom, had an excellent city view, and was located above Edgecliff Centre with shops and transport right below. Unfortunately, the complex’s rubbish rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, and the constant pest problem overshadowed the convenience. Looking back, we should have ended the lease much sooner.
