This house had no safe or working heating through the freezing Armidale winter. The listed gas heater was not properly installed and despite several requests, no one inspected or repaired it. The agent eventually said the landlord was not concerned, so I relied on blankets to stay warm. The oven barely worked, though the stove did. The property also had a serious spider problem that the landlord refused to treat, even forbidding tenants from using pest sprays. While the garden looked pleasant from a distance, the house itself was cold, neglected and uncomfortable to live in.
